The Ephemeral Gallery: an exclusive exhibition of paintings and sculptures from 8 local artists at Hotel La Falaise.

From May until the end of September, La Falaise welcomes “L’éphémère Galerie”, an artistic project led by Marc Ingoglia, a local artist who orchestrates art showings and manages other artists in Cotignac. For four months, the works of 8 talented artists will be exhibited in turn in a new modernised space at 2 cours Gambetta.

Marc Incoglia is a multidisciplinary artist who is always on the lookout for new techniques and media in the changing world of art. He works primarily with plexiglass, playing with its impermeability and transparency to create abstract works from natural pigments that he creates himself. This process leads on to unique images inspired by nature, which provides an insight into the very personal universe to the artist – ready to be discovered at the hotel La Falaise from July 29th to August 15th 2023.

With “L’éphémère Galerie”, Marc wants to create a welcoming space dedicated to contemporary art in Cotignac. A space that fosters sharing and open-mindedness amongst art and art lovers. The 7 other artists selected for the 2023 programme speak different artistic languages and have shown real progress whilst on their journey with modern art.

Tarita

Her work is the reflection of an inward questioning about the world we know. Tarita considers ”tangible realisation" and the multiple parallel worlds available to us, whether visible or not, which lift our perception and help us view other horizons. In her paintings, sculptures, collages and drawings, stories and dreams hold a special kind of power.

📅 From 24th May to 13th June 2023

Christine Stéphanoff

Through her paintings and sculptures, Christine explores her Moroccan heritage by expressing herself in a language that is colourful and entirely liberated. She allows her imagination to go wild, which in turn creates great movement in her work as well as transfiguration of these distended bodies. In its own way Christine’s work illustrates a timeless personal quest.

📅 From 16th June to 5th July 2023

Sylvie Serre

Sylvie’s work uses a wealth of media. She experiments with photography, engraving, watercolor on silk, quick sketches and then clay and ceramics. Throughout her work she uses a fluid pictorial technique with an architectural line that characterises her particular style. Sylvie aims to transcribe the world she knows in a certain artistic language that shifts reality and captures movement.
📅  From 7th July to 27th July 2023

Frédéric Lange

Frédéric's art draws its strength and balance from his particular technique combining bronze and wood. His elaborate sculptures are the result of many years of research and experimentation around the four natural elements: water, air, fire and earth. To Frédéric, matter is primordial, and an elemental witness to the origin of Man and the strong vector of Man’s evolution.
📅From 7th July to 27th July 2023

Marc Tigrane

Marc is a true artist, he has never stopped painting, sculpting and exhibiting - always working through different phases of pictorial and sculptural experimentation. His work is the synthesis of forty years of research, painting and sculpture. He uses all kinds of media, even the elemental power of earth and fire in his use of ceramics.

📅 From 28th July to 5th September 2023

Patrick Raphaël

Patrick follows the artistic movement of narrative figuration, where his work sits like an “apostrophe" and truly original within it. He loves to create atypical Pop Art paintings inspired by comics, using graphic codes borrowed from Street Art, employing meaningful slogans - while every one of his works is committed to this artistic movement.
📅From 18th August to 5th September 5 2023

Roselyne Conil

Roselyne’s contemporary work explores the confrontation of matter. Whether resin, concrete, steel, glass, bronze, wood or cardboard, each piece of hers is crafted in a differing form of expression. Pushing all media as far as it will go, Roselyne seeks balance and texture in each sculptural work, while maintaining an innate sense of curve throughout.
